How long will it take to receive my order?

Rod And Runner ships via UPS Ground, which delivers throughout the US in 2 to 5 days. Guaranteed Next Day, 2 Day, and 3 Day shipping services are also available during check-out.

Is there a minimum quantity I have to order?
Rod And Runner requires no minimum order on any product shown on the website.

Stair Rods
How do I clean a stair rods?
Use only a soft dry cloth when cleaning Rod And Runner products.
Rod And Runner products have a protective lacquer coating to resist tarnishing. Cleansers or chemicals may remove this coating. If cleaning the surrounding areas with chemicals or any liquid, remove Rod And Runner products and replace only when area is dry.
Are tubular (hollow) stair rods as durable as solid stair rods?
Tubular and solid stair rods are equally durable. Tubular rods will not dent under normal use.
Can stair rods be bent to fit curved stairs?
Yes, Rod And Runner recommends using the solid stair rods from our Heritage® or Sovereign® Collections for curved staircases.
Rod And Runner does not offer bending services.
Will stair rods secure my runner in place?
Rod And Runner stair rods are designed for decorative use only and not as a form of carpet installation.
Use of an adhesive pad, staples, tacks, nails, tack strip, tackless strip or other means of securing carpet is necessary for all stair runners. Rod And Runner does not dictate which type should be used.
What length of stair rod should I order?
Rod And Runner recommends our stair rods be at least 1½” longer than the runner width.
For example, if your runner is 27″ wide, we recommend ordering stair rods at least 28½” long. This allows ¼” space between the runner and bracket.
Can stair rods be custom cut to fit my carpet runner?
Rod And Runner custom cuts rods at no additional charge.
The buyer/installer is responsible for all measurements.
Rod And Runner is not liable for measurement error, and custom cut rods cannot be returned or exchanged.
Can I install stair rods over carpet?
Installing stair rods over existing carpet simply requires longer screws to pass through the carpet and pad before it is anchored into the wood layer of the step. Longer screws, typically 1½” or longer, can be purchased at a local hardware store.

What length of wall hanger should I order?
Rod And Runner recommends our wall hangers be at least 1½” longer than the tapestry, quilt, or rug.
For example, if your tapestry, quilt, or rug is 30″ wide, we recommend ordering the wall hanger at least 32″ long.
Can wall hangers be custom cut to fit my tapestry, quilt, or rug?
Rod And Runner custom cuts rods at no additional charge.

Can I use a wall hanger if my tapestry, quilt, or rug has loops or a sleeve?
Yes. Rod And Runner wall hangers are designed with open brackets to accommodate sleeves and loops.
Tapestries can also be displayed without sleeves or loops with our patented removable clips included in every set.
How much weight can a wall hanger hold?
With proper installation into the wall stud, wall hangers hold up to five pounds of weight per foot.

What is the difference between a floor register and vent?
A floor register has a damper that can be opened or closed to control air flow. A floor vent does not have a damper.
